Gorman takes compassionate leave
John Gorman
Gorman is set to return to Wycombe in time for next season
Wycombe Wanderers have placed manager John Gorman on compassionate leave - but he plans to resume his duties before the start of next season.

Assistant boss Steve Brown will take temporary charge of the team, assisted by coaches Keith Ryan and Terry Evans.

Gorman's wife Myra died in February following a battle with cancer.

"The board support John in allowing him to step back from his involvement with the team and focus on his home and family," a club statement read.

"The club has reluctantly accepted John's wishes that the change in his personal circumstances, brought about by the recent passing of his wife mean he feels he is unable at this time to correctly lead and motivate the team.

"John plans to resume his full-time duties with WWFC before the start of the new season."
