Oxford United defender Mark Creighton has signed an 18-month contract with Wrexham following a successful loan spell at the Racecourse in November.

The 29-year-old was out of favour at the Kassam Stadium and played six times for Wrexham during his loan.

"This is great news for everyone," said manager Dean Saunders.

"I didn't really think we had much of chance... but with Oxford looking to reduce their squad, suddenly things started to fall into place."
