Louis was relegated from the Football League with Mansfield last year

Wrexham's top scorer Jefferson Louis has had his contract cancelled by mutual consent.

Louis found the net 15 times in a disappointing season for the Dragons who finished 10th in the Blue Square Premier.

The 30-year-old had a year left on his contract but wants to be closer to his family near London.

Former Oxford United striker Louis arrived at the Racecourse from Mansfield last summer.

His partnership with Marc Williams reaped a harvest of goals for the pair during the first seven months of the season, as the club pushed it's way into the play-off positions, before slipping away.
