Wrexham have completed the signing of ex-Charlton Athletic striker Michael Carvill until the end of the season. The deal had been in doubt because of confusion over whether Carvill's release from Charlton met the necessary transfer regulations.
But Wrexham received the all-clear on Wednesday, and the Northern Ireland Under-19 striker will go straight into the squad to face Chester on Saturday.
"It's a big relief that I able to sign for Wrexham," said Carvill, 18.
"I've been worried about what might happen since this showed up on Friday and it was a big disappointment to miss out at Peterborough.
"I travelled back up from London on Monday and have been training with the team in the hope the things would sort themselves out."
Carvill can play as an out-to-out centre forward or in a deeper role behind the front two.
