Financially troubled Wrexham see a bright future thanks to the youthful talent at the Racecourse. Two of last-year's trainees, Simon Spender and Levi Mackin, have now joined the club's professional ranks.
Manager Denis Smith has high hopes for Matt Done, Jamie Read and Phil Gray, but was most keen to pay tribute to 18-year-old defender Mike Williams.
"Last year he didn't progress as I hoped, but now he has the bit between his teeth," Smith told the Daily Post.
"He's in the first-team squad and needs to make sure he stays there.
"Mike is quick, strong and has a good left foot - left-sided centre-backs are hard to come by.
"He's shown a great deal of promise, but now needs to put it all together on a regular basis."
