Wrexham have lost faith in recent acquisition Xavi Valero |
Wrexham have signed goalkeeper Ben Foster on a month's loan from Stoke. The 21-year-old, who has played only twice this season on loan at Kidderminster, comes in to cover for the injured Andy Dibble.
Foster will make his debut in Tuesday's LDV Vans Trophy northern section semi-final against Hereford if the club can complete the paperwork in time.
Wrexham signed Spanish stopper Xavier Valero this month, but he has lost favour after two successive howlers.
He was substituted at half-time in Saturday's 4-2 win at Chesterfield and Dragons boss Denis Smith has decided to end his stay at the Racecourse.
Wrexham are barred from signing new players as they are in administration, but the Football League have given them special dispensation for the specialist goalkeeping position.
Meanwhile, X-rays have revealed that Carlos Edwards has broken a bone in his hand and will miss Tuesday's match at Conference side Hereford.
The club will decide later this week whether Edwards will be able to play in a special cast in Saturday's League One clash with Doncaster Rovers.
