New deal for Ferguson
Wrexham midfielder Darren Ferguson
Ferguson has been with the club since 1999
Wrexham midfielder Darren Ferguson has signed a new contract at the Racecourse Ground.

Ferguson, 32, has agreed a two-year deal to extend his stay until at least June 2006, with an option for a third year built in.

"I wanted to give Wrexham first option, as I have enjoyed myself here, and I'm glad to say that we have been able to come to an agreement," he said.

"I like the place, the club and the fans."

He added on the club's website: "We have a manager whose ambitions match mine and we both want to see this team get promoted to the First Division."

Glasgow-born Ferguson joined Wrexham in September 1999 and has started over 200 games for the club.

His previous clubs include Manchester United, Wolves and Sparta Rotterdam.
