Iwelumo missed an open goal in the 2010 World Cup qualifier against Norway
Wolves' Chris Iwelumo wants the chance to impress new Scotland boss Craig Levein after ending his injury torment.
The 31-year-old suffered knee ligament damage in April, a broken metatarsal during pre-season and then aggravated the problem in late October.
"Hopefully I'll get the chance to work with him (Levein) and show him what I am about," said the striker.
"But I know that will only happen if I do well for my club. I am just glad to be fit again."
Iwelumo has started in Wolves' last two outings and hopes to add to the two caps he won for Scotland in 2008.
Famous for an incredible close-range miss on his debut as a substitute against Norway, Iwelumo was later given a start in a friendly with Argentina.
I think the temperament Craig Levein has got is fantastic for the squad

Those appearances came under George Burley, who has since been replaced as national coach by Levein.
And the powerful forward, who started his career at St Mirren, believes the former Dundee United manager has the qualities to flourish on the international football stage.
"I think the temperament Craig Levein has got is fantastic for the squad," he said.
"I think you always hear about the international scene and the problem with big egos with the international players.
"Craig is as down-to-earth as they come. He is definitely a character.
"He won't shrink away from any egos. If anything, he will dominate and get his point across no matter what has to be done."
Iwelumo also welcomes Levein's decision to give another chance to players who had previously been in international exile and he has been particularly impressed with Birmingham midfielder Barry Ferguson.
"It is good for players to get another chance," added the striker. "That is fantastic. Barry Ferguson is a great player. It is a clean slate.
"Every manager has got to make their own decisions. Ferguson has been playing out of his skin for Birmingham."
