Wolves striker Andy Keogh ruled out for three months
Wolves paid Scunthorpe an initial fee of 600,000 for Keogh in 2007
Wolves striker Andy Keogh will be out for three months after damaging ankle ligaments while training on Thursday.
The 23-year-old, who has scored one goal this season, needs an operation.
Wolves boss Mick McCarthy said: "It is a huge blow because he is a great kid and he was devastated when he heard the news of the damage after training."
Wolves have had to cope with injuries to winger Michael Kightly and strikers Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, Kevin Doyle and Chris Iwelumo already this season.
Republic of Ireland international Keogh, who moved to Molineux from Scunthorpe in January 2007, began the season as first choice alongside record signing Doyle up front, but he has since lost his place to the fit-again Ebanks-Blake.
