Wolves boss Mick McCarthy is full of praise for the form of striker Sylvan Ebanks-Blake since he arrived at Molineux in January.

The 1.5m signing from Plymouth has scored five times in his last six games leaving McCarthy impressed.

"Sylvan's done everything we've asked of him and more. He's been terrific," he told the club's website.

"He's dynamic and powerful and I don't think anyone would want to play against him," McCarthy added.

Ebanks-Blake, who was a trainee at Manchester United, got his Wolves career off to an excellent start when he scored in his first two games.

He took his tally for the season to 20 with a goal in Saturday's 3-3 draw with QPR.

And McCarthy thinks Ebanks-Blake will go from strength to strength:

"His all round play is very good. He holds the ball up well and is a goalscorer.

"He is very difficult to knock off the ball as he proved when he scored against Colchester and Southampton."
