The 19-year-old had initial cartilage operation on the joint a year ago but reported more problems this month and once needed a clean-up procedure.

Wanderers physio Barry Holmes said: "Mark has been feeling some pain but the small operation he has had seems to have done the job.

"He has made progress over the last few days and we aim to next week increase the amount of work he does with us."
