Kightly wants Eastwood to join him at Wolves |
Wolves winger Michael Kightly wants boss Mick McCarthy to sign his former Southend team-mate Freddy Eastwood. Southend rejected Wolves' initial 1m bid for the 23-year-old striker last week but Kightly says the signing would benefit both the player and the club.
"It would be a good move for him and a good move for Wolves as well," Kightly told the Express & Star.
"I want to try and help Wolves get back into the Premiership and we have more chance if Freddy comes here too."
However, Shrimpers chairman Ron Martin recently insisted that Eastwood would not be leaving Roots Hall, despite their relegation to League One.
