Mick McCarthy praised Jay Bothroyd for his attitude after his two goals helped Wolves to a 3-1 win over Hull. "I do not want players knocking on my door and telling me they should play because other people are not doing well," said the Wolves boss.
"I want people knocking on my door and asking to play because they are doing so well themselves.
"Jay has come in today and scored two proper centre-forward's goals. He's done really well in that position."
