| Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Carl Cort faces three months on the sidelines after undergoing knee cartilage surgery. The 29-year-old has been plagued by knee and hamstring injuries and has been restricted to only 10 matches so far this season. "I hate to see any player have to have an operation," manager Mick McCarthy told the Wolves website. "We can only hope that he makes a quick recovery and gets back soon."
