The Dublin-born 17-year-old midfielder has signed a three-year deal after making 16 reserve team appearances.

"I'm delighted for Steve, he's worked hard and done well at youth level," said academy manager Chris Evans.

"The manager has had him training with the first team squad and he has obviously been impressed with what he has seen."
