The 25-year-old Scotland striker has turned down the English Championship club's latest contract offer.

And Wolves chief executive Moxey said: "If we get an offer for him in January, we will have to consider it.

"But we will have another meeting with his agent and have one more go to get him to sign for us."

Rangers chairman David Murray has been quoted as saying there has been no contact and no discussions.

But he has stated that Rangers will sign a striker during the January transfer window.

The Scottish champions have also been linked with Jean-Claude Darcheville of Bordeaux and Kilmarnock's Kris Boyd.

Hearts have also been linked with Miller, who started his career with city neighbours Hibernian and said earlier this season that he would be happy to return to the Scottish Premier League.

But Moxey told a fans' forum has not lost all hope of persuading Miller to stay, despite the player, a free agent in the summer, now having rejected three new offers.

Wolves manager Glenn Hoddle had said: "Kenny made it clear he will not be signing the contract we have offered him.

"He says he wants to keep his options open, so we have to live with that.

"We cannot force him to sign. We feel we have done all we can.

"Nobody has been on the phone.

"If they do, they will have to pay decent money or he will stay to the end of the season.

"We've made him a fabulous offer and feel we've done all we can."
