Camara does not want to play in England's First Division |
Henri Camara says he must leave Wolves to pursue his personal ambitions. The Senegal striker is not impressed by the prospect of having to play in the First Division, which will be called The Championship next season.
Camara, who has already had a written transfer request rejected by Wolves, said: "I want to go somewhere else.
"It is my goal to become Africa's footballer of the year and I cannot achieve that if I am not playing in the Premiership," the 27-year-old added.
His agent Willie McKay claimed earlier this month that Celtic were considering Camara as a possible replacement for Henrik Larsson.
McKay added: "There a number of clubs looking at Henri, including Bolton, Blackburn, Charlton, Middlesbrough and Portsmouth and he has a lot to consider."
Camara netted seven times in 32 games for Wolves last season, having joined for 1.5m from French side Sedan.
