Jones will now begin his search for a temporary goalkeeper |
Wolves have been given the go-ahead to find a replacement goalkeeper in a loan deal. The Premier League turned down the club's request last week but changed their minds once the extent of Matt Murray's injury became clear.
Wolves boss Dave Jones says he has begun looking for a temporary replacement for Murray.
"We have been given permission to sign a goalkeeper for 28 days," said Jones. "But it could be difficult.l"
Jones added: "We are looking mostly in this country and we will not be bringing in anyone before the game against Birmingham City this weekend.
"What we have decided is to get through that match and then have a really good go at finding a keeper. "We have been turned down already by one club."
Reserve keeper Murray is expected to be out of action for five weeks with a stress fracture in his foot meaning youngster Carl Ikeme is the only cover for Michael Oakes.
