Woking have signed former Notts County and Millwall striker Manny Williams on a one-year contract.
The 26-year-old scored 20 goals in 47 games for Maidenhead United last season and has recently had a short loan spell at Yeovil Town.
Woking's technical director Colin Lippiatt told BBC Southern Counties Radio: "We're really lucky to have him.
"A host of clubs were chasing him, but Bradley Quamina and Marvin Morgan, having played with him, were key."
Lippiatt knows no striker is guaranteed to be successful, and added: "Any signing is a gamble. His goal-return ratio at the last two clubs is great.
"We have paid no fee at all for him. At whatever level you score at, clubs will take interest and make offers, and we decided to act quickly."
