![]() | Thursday, 1 November, 2001, 09:01 GMT Chapple back at Woking Former favourite Geoff Chapple has made a return to Woking as manager. Chapple, who enjoyed a successful stint as boss at Woking during the nineties, will work alongside Colin Lippiatt, who reverts to head coach. Woking acted following their FA Cup exit at the hands of Newport County. Chapple told Woking's website: "I am ecstatic at being back at what I always felt to be my natural home." Woking vice-chairman John Buchanan said: "We feel that Geoff is the man to lead us back to where this club belongs, at the top of non-league football and into the Football League." Lippiatt added: "Results have not gone our way recently and I only have the club's interests at heart. "By bringing Geoff back to the club, I am confident that we can improve our recent form and start to climb the table." | Other top Woking stories: Links to more Woking stories are at the foot of the page. | ||
