Teenage striker Sam Baldock has signed a professional contract with MK Dons. The 17-year-old made his senior debut as a substitute against Colchester in December having impressed at both youth and reserve level.
He becomes the first local player to sign on at the National Hockey Stadium since Wimbledon made their switch.
"It's a dream come true to be involved in a club like this, with such great ambition and to become a professional," Baldock told the club website.
Chairman Pete Winkelman said: "It is an historic day for MK Dons. Sam's our first player to come through the Academy and signed for the club in Milton Keynes.
"It is a really exciting moment for the club, it's a first part of a new page in our history."
