Wigan have released midfield pair, Josip Skoko and Salomon Olembe, after neither were offered a fresh contract.
Australia international Skoko, 32, made 53 appearances after joining from Turkish side Genclerbirligi on a three-year deal in August 2005.
Cameroon midfielder Olembe figured in only nine games for the Latics, starting on three occasions, after signing a one-year deal in 2007.
Manager Steve Bruce said they "had given everything when called upon."
Young professionals Peter Moore and Russell Saunders, neither of whom made a first-team appearance, have also been released after the expiry of their contracts.
