Wigan assistant manager Chris Hutchings has confirmed that the club are considering making a move for Birmingham striker Emile Heskey. The 26-year-old joined the Blues for �6.25m from Liverpool in 2004.
But he has managed to score just four Premiership goals with City eventually relegated into the Championship.
Hutchings told the Manchester Evening News: "We're interested in Heskey and intend to be very active in the transfer market over the coming weeks."
