![]() | Wednesday, 4 April, 2001, 13:21 GMT 14:21 UK Wigan appoint Bruce ![]() Steve Bruce was formerly manager at Huddersfield Wigan Athletic announced the appointment of Steve Bruce as their new team manager on Wednesday. The former Huddersfield boss takes over at the JJB Stadium following the departure of Bruce Rioch last month. Colin Greenall and Brendan O'Connell will be working alongside Bruce. Director of football John Benson will take over youth development.
