Lastuvka spent the 2007/08 season on loan with German side VfL Bochum

West Ham have signed Czech Republic keeper Jan Lastuvka on a season-long loan deal from Shakhtar Donetsk, according to the Ukrainian club.

Shakhtar's website states that Lastuvka, 26, completed a medical at Upton Park over the weekend.

The former under-21 international spent the 2006/07 season on loan at Fulham and played 12 games for the Cottagers.

Lastuvka then returned to Shakhtar but was loaned out again last season, which he spent with German side VfL Bochum.

Lastuvka's compatriot, and fellow goalkeeper, Marek Stech is also on West Ham's books and another Czech, Ludek Miklosko, is the club's goalkeeping coach.
