The club revealed the player passed a medical and finalised terms.

West Ham boss Alan Curbishley said: "He is a different sort of player to what we already have. He is good in the air and aggressive."

Kepa has notched three goals in nine league appearances for Sevilla this season.

Sevilla earlier said: "Kepa will play for the rest of the season at West Ham.

"The agreement between the two clubs includes an option to buy, which must be exercised before 30 June."
