Arsenal striker Jeremie Aliadiere has completed his loan move to West Ham after leaving Celtic. The 22-year-old Frenchman made two substitute appearances for Celtic but has now signed for West Ham for the rest of the season.
"He had several offers from several other Premiership clubs, so we are delighted that he chose West Ham," boss Alan Pardew told the club website.
"His abilities and skill will fit in well with the playing style here."
The French U21 international joined the Gunners in 1999, making his first-team debut in the League Cup in 2002 and his Premiership debut at Anfield the following year.
"The signing of Jeremie is another big coup for the Club. He is an exciting young talent from Arsenal and along with David Bellion will bring some French flair to our squad," said Pardew.
Meanwhile, Portuguese side Porto have confirmed they have rejected a bid from West Ham for their South African striker Benni McCarthy, who had also been linked with Blackburn.
"It is really sad that FC Porto insists on not letting him leave," said his agent Roger Moore.
"For purely sports-related reasons, he would like to have the chance to play in a better league, but FC Porto wants to keep him despite these two offers."
