West Bromwich Albion's deadline day signing Andy Slory says the positive experiences of other Dutch players led him to England.
"I talked to Denny Landzaat, Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Dean Gorre, lots of players who've played in England," Slory told BBC WM.
"They told me if you can go - go, because England's the place to be."
The 27-year-old winger joined the Baggies on a free transfer from Dutch Division One side Feyenoord.
"They say the crowds are wonderful, and you can go with your grandfather to a game. In Holland they don't do that much any more," said Slory.

"Feyenoord is one of the biggest clubs in Holland and, I think, in Europe. It's different but I'm very proud to be here.
"I have ambitions - that's true. But I just want to go into the team and do my best every game and then we'll see."
Subject to international clearance, the Dutchman goes straight into the West Brom squad for Wednesday night's Championship fixture at Blackpool.
