Roman Bednar has now scored 12 goals in 15 games

The Czech has scored a dozen goals so far as Albion continue to lead the Championship.

He told BBC WM: "I'm with the best team I have ever been with and am playing my best football.

"I want to get this team promoted and I'm very happy. To score is great but the team winning is more important."

Bednar, who is on loan from Hearts, has become a key man in the Albion side after having to wait for his chance in the team behind Kevin Phillips and Ishmael Miller.

But his rich vein of form has made him a regular starter - and one of the hottest properties in the Championship.

And the striker seems open to the idea of making his loan move a permanent one.

"If West Brom want me, we will see," he added to BBC WM.

"I've played in some good teams. My first season at Hearts when we were second before they sacked George Burley was great.

"And when I was promoted with my Czech team it was fantastic but West Brom are the best team I have ever played in."
