West Brom boss Bryan Robson is already thinking about his side's promotion assault next season after their relegation from the Premiership. The Baggies went down after Portsmouth beat Wigan on Saturday and Robson told his club's website: "Being relegated is a big blow for the club.
"I'll be having meetings with the chairman to establish the plan of action for next season.
"I've got a lot of things in mind and I'm sure he has plans too."
The Hawthorns outfit managed to escape the drop on the final day of the season a year ago but they failed to find the form to achieve a similar feat this time around.
West Brom have been relegated along with Midlands rivals Birmingham, while south-coast club Portsmouth have survived after their late surge of 20 points from nine games.
Robson added: "You've got to give Portsmouth credit. They've put together an incredible run.
"I said at the start of the season we would need more than the 34 points we got last term to stay up and that has proven to be the case."
