Robson twice led Middlesbrough to promotion from the Championship |
West Brom manager Bryan Robson will remain in charge despite the club's relegation from the Premiership. Chairman Jeremy Peace told the Baggies' website: "We believe in stability. Last time we got relegated we won promotion with the same manager (Gary Megson).
"Our view as a board is that stability, and getting the right players in early in the close season, is vital for us and that is what we'll be trying to do.
"With that in mind the last thing you want to do is jettison the manager."
Robson twice won promotion to the Premiership when he was in charge at Middlesbrough.
"When we took Bryan on in November 2004 one of things we noted in his CV was that he has managed in the Championship before," added Peace.

"He knows what it is all about. I think that is good for him and it is certainly good for the football club."
Meanwhile, Peace insists the club are under no pressure to sell players following relegation.
"The worst thing we could do would be to start selling players," he said.
"We have to keep everyone in here and add to that with some good signings to improve the squad yet again, so that it gives us the best possible chance of getting out of the Championship and into the Premier League.
