Baggies prepared to sell Earnshaw
Robert Earnshaw
West Brom boss Bryan Robson has said that wantaway striker Robert Earnshaw can leave The Hawthorns if a decent bid is made for the Wales international.

It is thought that a bid of 3m, the sum the Baggies paid Cardiff City for Earnshaw in August 2004, would be enough to capture the 24-year-old.

"If an offer comes in that's acceptable to the club and to me then we'll have to look at that," Robson said.

"But at the moment we haven't received any bids for Rob."

Earnshaw has had two transfer requests turned down by West Brom as he is keen to leave in search of regular first-team football.

The form of Diomansy Kamara and Kanu has seen Earnshaw either benched or left out of the side all together, but the pair are due to leave for African Nations Cup duty this month.

Earnie is probably our best finisher, but he has got to improve other aspects of his game
West Brom boss Bryan Robson

"Rob's been unsettled but I've said to him he's got to improve certain aspects of his game," said Robson, who has compiled a DVD for Earnshaw to watch that highlights where his game needs improving.

"If he does that and gets his chance in the coming month we'll have to take it from there.

"We know that when Earnie gets chances, he is probably our best finisher, but he has got to improve other aspects of his game which contribute to the team.

"Earnie has not quite grasped that yet. I need players who can grasp that and score goals to get us into a better position in the Premier League.

"We did the same with (Japan midfielder Junichi) Inamoto and he has added the defensive qualities that a central midfield player needs as part of his game.

"Earnie has got a similar DVD to the one we gave Ina. It is about things like hold-up play and the timing of his runs which, for me, is what Earnie needs to add to his game to be a Premiership player."
