 | ROBSON'S VIEW |
New West Brom boss Bryan Robson was disappointed to see his side slip up at home to Middlesbrough, after a dreadful late miss by Baggies striker Kanu. The Nigerian blew a simple chance to equalise when he sidefooted over from less than two yards out.
Robson admitted: "It looked far easier to put it into the back of the net than to put it over the bar.
"These things happen but it is unfortunate for us because it was a great chance."
Robson added: "I'm disappointed by the result but there are some positives we can take from the game.
"In the first half we played some good football and created some good chances,
"But we gave them too much space at the start of the second half and I know why we're at the bottom rather than the middle of the table." Robson added: "I wanted to do the business today, but we'll have to sit down and assess what we did well in the game and what we did badly.
"We put them under pressure in the last 20 minutes, but we should have done better.
"To have an unbeaten run on the back of the Southampton result last week would have been nice."
