Megson has told his players they need to improve |
West Brom boss Gary Megson has berated his players for a lack of "effort and endeavour" in training and has demanded they change their attitudes. Megson was furious after his side's "totally unacceptable" performance in Saturday's 3-0 loss to Crystal Palace.
He said: "People have got to realise the only way to put things right is to work hard on the training pitch.
"What happened on Saturday was indicative of how we've been going about our business. It has to change."
With West Brom just two points off the foot of the table, Megson has come under fire from fans calling for him to quit.
Megson admitted: "I am going to get criticised which I accept. Criticism goes with the territory. That is just the way of the world.
"But the only way to put things right is to work hard.
"I was so angry about Saturday, not disappointed or frustrated but angry, and not one of our players would have got in the Crystal Palace team."
