West Brom manager Gary Megson has admitted he called off a training session this week because the players were not making enough effort. It happened two days before Saturday's 3-0 loss at Crystal Palace - and comes amid speculation over Megson's future.
"I scrapped training after only 20 minutes because the endeavour and effort just wasn't there," he said.
"What happened at Palace was symptomatic of how we've been going about our business for a while."
Megson, who has been in charge at The Hawthorns for four-and-a-half years, is out of contract in the summer and his team face a tough test against Chelsea next weekend.
"It has got to be sorted out because the way we went about our business at Selhurst Park was totally unacceptable," he added.
"What has been going on has got to change."
