Liverpool defender Djimi Traore is reportedly on the verge of a �1m move to Premiership new boys West Brom. Traore, 24, was bought from Laval for �500,000 in 1999 but has struggled to establish himself in the first team.
"Things are being held up because Liverpool chief executive Rick Parry is away," Traore's agent Willie McKay told The Sun newspaper.
"There's been interest from other clubs but we are confident Djimi will sign for West Brom," McKay added.
Liverpool may now regret turning down a reported �3m offer from Blackburn in 2001.
