Scott Severin is to join Watford on a two-year deal once his Aberdeen contract expires.
The 30-year-old midfielder, capped 15 times for Scotland, will become a Hornets player on 1 July.
Severin was the Aberdeen skipper and leaves Pittodrie five years after arriving from Hearts.
"Scott was Aberdeen captain and that speaks volumes for his character and leadership qualities," Watford boss Malky Mackay told the club website.
