Manager Adrian Boothroyd is concerned about Watford's defence after they surrendered the lead three times in Saturday's 4-3 defeat by Blackpool.
He told BBC Three Counties Radio: "I have never been more irritated by a second-half performance than that.
"You can work as hard as you like in training, but you cannot compensate for stupid errors like that."
After taking one point from their last four league games, Watford lie one place above the relegation zone.
The frustrated manager added: "At the other end of the pitch it is terrific. We're scoring a lot of goals and creating lots of chances.

"And I certainly don't want to be in a relegation battle."
Watford travel to face Swansea in their next Championship fixture on Sunday and also face the same opposition in the Carling Cup two days later.
