O'Toole (r) has scored two goals in two substitute appearances this season
Watford manager Aidy Boothroyd has praised midfielder John Joe O'Toole's attitude after his recent scoring form.
The Republic of Ireland Under-21, 19, international has scored winning goals in each of the last two games.
"He was our young player of the year last year," Boothroyd told BBC Three Counties Radio.
"He did great things for us, but when he came back for pre-season training he wasn't in shape. But he's got himself back in shape and back in the team."
O'Toole came off the bench to score Watford's 86th-minute winner at home to Ipswich in the Championship on Saturday. That followed his extra-time winner against Darlington in the Carling Cup.
"He drives you mad at times," added Boothroyd, "but at the minute I'm very pleased with him. He's sorted himself out, sorted his diet out, and he is a terrific prospect.
"If the ball goes in the box, he is such a willing and honest kid that he might just get a goal and he has done - twice in a week."
