Watford manager Aidy Boothroyd hopes to add a striker to his squad by Friday, BBC Three Counties Radio understands.

It is believed the target will be a loan signing.

The Hornets' boss wants to bolster his attack, despite the form of Will Hoskins, who scored his first goal for the club in their midweek cup victory.

It is understood the signing will be in the mould of Frazier Campbell, who had a big impact on Hull's promotion success, last season.
