King was sidelined by a serious knee injury in October 2006 |
Watford striker Marlon King has signed a new contract at Vicarage Road. King, who missed most of the 2006/07 season with a knee injury, has signed improved terms on his existing deal, which will expire in June 2009.
The 27-year-old made only 12 Premiership starts for the Hornets but scored four goals.
Meanwhile, Watford's Sierra Leone midfielder Alhassan Bangura, 19, has also signed an improved contract to keep him at the club until 2010.
King, a Jamaican international, scored 22 goals to help Aidy Boothroyd's side win promotion from the Championship in 2005/06.
The former Barnet, Gillingham and Nottingham Forest striker suffered a serious knee injury in October 2006 and could not stop Watford making an immediate return to the second tier of English football.
