Powell has made 700 senior appearances |
Watford have signed Charlton defender Chris Powell on a free transfer. The former England international, 36, has signed a one-year contract and leaves the Addicks after re-signing from West Ham last summer.
Hornets boss Aidy Boothroyd told the club website: "We're bringing in a guy who fits our culture and has experience and know how at the top level.
Powell said: "It was the manager who attracted me, I was extremely impressed with what he did last year."
Powell added: "I want to be a part of what Aidy Boothroyd's looking to do in the future.
"I'm a great believer in going to places where you're wanted so I'm glad to add my Premiership experience to the squad and be part of a successful season at Vicarage Road."
