Watford boss Adrian Boothroyd says defender Clarke Carlisle, his summer signing from Leeds, will not be able to face the Yorkshire club this weekend. "When we bought him in August, it was a deal breaker that they didn't want him to play," Boothroyd told BBC Sport.
"They didn't think he was good enough for their team, but they also thought he might score against them, which he probably would have done, knowing him.
"Clarke's really disappointed. He's become a favourite here."
