Lee wants to become Watford's first-choice goalkeeper |
Richard Lee has spoken of his relief after signing a new three-year contract at Watford. The 20-year-old goalkeeper has started only four first-team games for the Hornets but is determined to become a regular for the club, after being called into the England Under-21 squad.
"I'm delighted that Watford rate me enough to give me a new contract," he said.
"I've been here since the age of 10 so I was obviously very pleased.
"The way football is these days it's great to have three years security. It means I can concentrate on my football, enjoy myself, and fight for a first-team place.
"Hopefully I can become number one and taste success with the club.
"Hopefully in the next couple of years we can get back into the Premiership and I'll be number one," he told the club's official website.
