Walsall skipper Darren Byfield faces a fortnight on the sidelines after suffering a knee injury.

The 33-year-old was substituted five minutes from the end of Saturday's 2-1 defeat by Swindon and a scan found he had bruised his knee.

Boss Chris Hutchings told the club website: "Darren will be out for around two weeks. It's a bit of a blow but we do have attacking options."

The Saddlers travel to Hartlepool in League One Saturday.
