Walsall manager Jimmy Mullen has said he is impressed with striker Jabo Ibehre's early-season form.
The former Leyton Orient forward joined the Saddlers this summer and has formed a new partnership with ex-England striker Michael Ricketts.
"He's done very, very well, his work-rate off the ball is fantastic," Mullen told BBC WM.
"If he gets his just rewards with the goals he deserves then he'll do very, very well for us."
Ibehre has already contributed the equaliser in Walsall's League One opener at Yeovil and he worked hard to compensate for the dismissal of Ricketts during the Carling Cup defeat at home to Darlington.
"He's a great lad and an honest worker and as we have seen he's a fantastic team player, " Mullen added.
