Walsall have appointed Frank Barlow as first team coach at the Bescot Stadium. Barlow, 58, has previously managed Chesterfield and Scunthorpe and coached at several clubs.
His most recent post was at Bristol City and he left Ashton Gate in the summer afte the departure of manager Danny Wilson.
Saddlers boss Paul Merson said: "I feel Frank is going to make a big contribution in the months ahead and I'm delighted to have him on board."
