Tranmere midfielder Joss Labadie says Rovers believe they can get results against the big teams in League One.
Les Parry's side travel to Southampton on Saturday after a 1-1 draw with Brighton at Prenton Park last week.
"Southampton are a good team but we've shown we can match up against the best teams in the league," the 20-year-old told BBC Radio Merseyside.
"So we're going to go there respecting them but we're not going to be fearing them at all, we can and give it a go."
After collecting a hard-earned point on Saturday and beating Bristol Rovers 1-0 on 28 September, Tranmere have accumulated four points from their last two games but they remain in the bottom four with 10 points.
However, it is goals that are occupying the former West Brom man's mind at the moment, as he has not hit the back of the net in his 11 appearances in a white shirt this season.
"I want to get off the mark," Labadie continued. "I know once I do the goals will start flowing.
"I'm confident in my ability that a goal will come soon. I'm just going to keep plugging away and trying my best."
