Tranmere have signed Liverpool keeper Peter Gulacsi on an emergency loan deal to cover injuries to Gunnar Nielsen and Simon Miotto.

Gulacsi, 20, returns to Prenton Park following a successful five-game spell with Rovers last season.

In that spell, they won 10 points to help retain their place in League One.

Manager Les Parry said: "Peter did really well for us last season so I'm pleased to be able to bring him back to the club.

"Joe Collister has done really well for us this season but it's his first extended run in the team and a lot to ask of a young goalkeeper to keep playing every week.

"Peter showed his qualities in the five games he played for us last season and I'm sure he will do just as well this time."

Gulacsi will be available for Tranmere's home match against Charlton Athletic on Saturday, 18 September.
