Tranmere Rovers must be positive - John Welsh

John Welsh
Welsh has scored four league goals for Tranmere this season

Tranmere midfielder John Welsh has urged them go to Bristol Rovers on Saturday with a positive attitude despite the 4-1 defeat by Leeds.

Rovers sit four points clear of Exeter above the relegation zone.

"I think it's going to be a difficult game, they're a good team at home," Welsh told BBC Radio Merseyside.

"We haven't got to win but I think we could win. We have got to go out there with a positive attitude and looking to get three points."

He added: "I think we just need to pick ourselves up and get ready for the game on Saturday. It's disappointing losing 4-1, but Leeds are a good team.

"Their front two are probably the best in the league. I think we just need to try to take the positives out of it, look at our mistakes and look forward to Saturday."
